One Block Box Puzzle - Simon Nightingale / Manvell
Also known as the One Piece Blockhead Puzzle. This two piece puzzle has a simple objective; put the white block in the lacewood box. Unfortunately, the main hidden mechanism in the box does not appear to reset correctly, so I've never been able to "unsolve" the puzzle. Perhaps you can. As it stands, the block easily drops into the box interior. Designed by Nightengale, made by Andy and Mary Manvell. On Feb. 10, 2013 13:25:24, the following description has been added:Based on the relatively high ...

Nested Burr Four
from cubic dissection.com:As soon as I saw this design on Ishino's site I knew I wanted to make it. The unique design of the burr pieces was interesting enough, but when I assembled the puzzle (note that I did not say solve! I gave up after an hour or so...) I also discovered that there is a lot of interaction between the pieces and the sides of the frame. This is truly a unique design. This puzzle is very stoutly made. The canarywood internals are connected to the outer paduak ring with a half l...

TriangleQuorn (2006) and MixTeaser2 (2005) by William Waite
These are two teeny puzzles (about 2" each) from William Waite. The object of both is to make a symmetric configuration with the pieces in the tray. TriangleQuorn appears to no longer be on his website. The MixTeaser 2 is now called Miniature MixTeaser 2, but it's still 2" wide. Neither is particularly difficult.

Citadel, from the IQ Collection
This is an amusing tower of sequential mechanisms to solve. I enjoyed it, but it's huge and takes up too much space. It also weighs in at about 3.5 lbs.

The World's Puzzle, ©1886
Wood block with 36 holes. Object is to place 6 pins in such a way that no 2 pins are in the same row, column or diagonal. There is a hole in the side of the block for the pins, but they (and the probably cork stopper) are missing. The game advertises the World's Educator, a game from W.S. Reed from 1887. The puzzle is a premium marked from "L.E. Stables" or something similar, as the stamp is hard to read. With the puzzle is a copy of an 1886 patent by A.W. Butterworth that describes this game.(...

Prototype of Bill's Game
This is a 1987 prototype of an unusual three-dimensional puzzle and/or game in which blocks have to be assembled in such a way that the black areas continue from one block to the next. It comes with a photocopy of typed rules -- but they are in Italian only, so I do not know how the game/puzzle plays exactly; there are 4 pages of illustrations plus 6 Polaroid pictures of the blocks assembled in various ways; from these photos, it appears that there are design elements to the game.Bill's Game was...

When purchasing this puzzle a few months back, I didn't realize it would be shipped unassembled. As such, I have never removed the puzzle was it's original wrapping. Quoting Eric's original description:
"This puzzle was Jerry Slocum's exchange puzzle at IPP18. I was recently visiting a puzzle friend and saw it on the shelves. Spent some time working with it and finally solved it...HAD to make it. Since John Rausch did such a nice job writing up a description on his site, I think I'll plaga...

Tri Stix
from cubic dissection.comBart Buie has been making copies of Stewart Coffin's work for quite some time now as well as designing his own puzzles. His quality and craftsmanship is outstanding. Sadly he is not able to make puzzles full-time, so offerings from him can be very rare. Bart and I live in the same town and speak frequently, so when I heard he has completed a new iteration of the Hectix design I offered to list them on my website for him.TriSticks is a version of the popular Hectix. 9 to 5
9-to-5 is a mechanical maze that doesn't come apart. At the AM side, the are eleven numbers including a big '9', but no '5'. At the PM side, there are also eleven numbers, including a big '5', but no '9'. The object is to get the yellow central dial from 9AM to 5PM. Because of the protrusions, the dial can make some rotations, but not others.

Zauberflote
Reminiscent of Padaung Rings, this nifty little pocket puzzle is a lot of fun to solve. With a level 14.4.2 it's tricky but not impossible...once you get the correct alignment and piece selection, it flows fairly quickly.Coming in at a diminuative 2.25" on the long axis, Zauberflote will nonetheless grab your attention on the puzzle shelf thanks to the acrylic catching the light. A fun puzzle.45 copies made, each signed.
