Cube with 6 round rods. Solid key piece.

Double Bar Cube, design Tom Jolly, made by Schweitzer, 2008 IPP exchange puzzle, 3 different woods, 6 identical pieces. Small wood defect/chip on one of the dark pieces, shows up in the photo.

Berhhard Schweitzer's Stick Cube, 1995, Cube made of 8 smaller cubes, with pegs and holes in each piece. Not sure whether this is made with cherry or oak. Weighs 7 ounces. Very nice condition.

This is another puzzle that I don't know where or when I bought it; I thought it was a Bits and Pieces puzzle, but I can't find the original box or instructions. It's about 6 inches tall and weighs 10 ounces. There's one key piece and the rest are all notched.

Watermill Bank - made in Japan; don't know the company, since I can't read Japanese. I've never been able to get the key-piece out ( a beam that goes along the top of the roof). Includes original box and instructions. Essentially a kumiki puzzle. Fairly large; the base is 5 x 5.5".

Not Quite, remove pieces and make a square. On the back it says, 1971, Sculpt-toys by Henry Adams, toyer (is that a word?) for Lawrence Toys. Weighs 5 ounces.

Okay, I'm not sure what the real name is; I bought this from Puzzlein.com and neglected to write down the English name. Two plates and a notched disk, and a little plastic striped ball that you are supposed to get out of the cage. Bit of a trick to it. I think Naoyuki Iwase designed this one.

This is a Bits and Pieces copy of what I believe is a Constantin puzzle, in original box from B&P plus instructions. Fits together pretty loosely. Weighs 12 ounces.

Superstar, design by Vaclav Obsivac..Weighs 6 ounces. Not sure of the wood type, and I don't think I've ever had this one apart, so I don't know really whether it's easy or difficult to get apart - I'm still reluctant to mess with it due to the fragile sharp corners. There are a couple of very small dings/chips in these sharp corners and edges - fairly minor.

I bought these new about 35 years ago (god I feel old). This is the "Frustrating" red one and the "Incredibly Hard" white one (which happens to be blue). The blue one shown here has a piece-set which matches the white "Incredibly Hard"" one shown on Ishino Keichiro's website. The blue pieces are stamped; "Made in Hong Kong, copyright 1969 by L.I.I." These are two Magnif puzzles in original boxes. The Illusions box is in pretty good shape, but the Third Dimension 1 box is creased on the side and the flap is worn. Both puzzles are complete, but have loose pieces inside (no inserts to hold anything in place), and neither came with instructions (you had to send in for the solution sheet).

I'm assuming these were all made by the same manufacturer due to the layout of the boxes, which is nearly identical on all sides. One of the 3 boxes has a sticker on the back of the box (the Cube) for Paladone Products LTD., but I doubt they were the manufacturer. Boxes are good, but not great, with some creases, one has a price tag, and tape holding flaps shut.<br>The Star Puzzle is your standard with 6 pieces and a key piece. This is a nice-looking jigsaw-cut 3 piece storage box, the interior felt-lined. I bought this from "Nidderdale Boxes" in North Yorkshire, England about 11 years ago, and was made by them. The fit is rather loose, since the kerf on the jigsaw cut was pretty big, but the wood used is very interesting. Weight is 6 ounces.

Nine pieces make a 3x3 jigsaw. It's actually pretty difficult, but essentially the same as any of many 9-piece "match the edges" grid puzzles. The pieces are bright red, thick stock with intersecting puzzle-tangs in the shape of hearts, spades, diamonds and clubs. This is in very good shape, with a couple of small corner-dings on a couple of the pieces.
