Animal Pentominos
This set of animal pentominoes came from the Belgium school-group at KSO Glorieux Ronse that does the contests all the time. It's cut by a jigsaw, but not a jigsaw-cut puzzle! It's rather large; 10x16 and about 3/4" thick, and nearly 2 lbs, so very expensive to ship overseas! The wood is 5-ply.

No Dexterity
No Dexterity, designed by Oskar van Deventer and crafted by Tom Lensch. The objective is to move the ball through the maze by turning the maze side-to-side: without lifting the box off the table. Quite challenging.

Box Frame
Box Frame. This has 4 pieces, made from bamboo, with dowels in the corners to give it some strength. There is only one of these; I designed it and made only one copy. It would be a level 17 if you took it apart orthogonally, but I think it's about a level 9 using rotations. Not super difficult, but not easy either. Doesn't go together the way you think it should, though there are at least 2 solutions using orthogonal movement.

Assortment interlocking solid - Obsivac and Arjeu
This auction is for a group of three puzzles. One is an Obsivac Hedgehog. The fit isn't perfect. The one on the right-rear is an Arjeu CT28; there's a teeny chip out of one of the ends of the pieces, and the key-piece is a straight stick through the middle with no notches. Does NOT come with the original box.The last one is a yellow plastic star, but each of the 6 pieces is split lengthwise in 2 for a total of 12 pieces. Makes it much harder to assemble.

Puzzling Zoo
This is one of William Waite's puzzles, out of production, called Puzzling Zoo. As you can see, it's a nicely done laser-cut version of a nine-tile edge-matching puzzle with little wooden animals to hold together each edge. Defect; there's a very tiny dimple (size of a pen tip) on one side of one of the tiles. The puzzle measures 6" on a side, 3/16" thick stock.

Caged Knot - Level 13.2
Caged Knot from Pelikan's shop. 3 "knot" pieces in a cage, level 13.2, the highest level of this piece configuration, according to Ishino's site. This is a really fun puzzle to play with and it's very well made (it's a spare copy...no way would I sell both!). I think there were about 80 copies of this made, originally. Naoyuki Iwase did a short run of these, too, but with an extra variant piece.

Magic Fish - IPP29 Exchange Puzzle
Magic Fish, IPP29 Exchange Puzzle. 3 pieces with semicircles attached on the bottom layer can slide around, allowing the upper layers to make 3 different images of fish. Artificial movement restriction that pieces may only turn to the right. Designed by Tsugumitsu Noji. Puzzle is signed on the back in Japanese and English. Nice little puzzle.

Packuliar
Packuliar has 4 pieces which pack into the box. It's fairly difficult; a rotation is available, but without it, it's a level 7 puzzle (if I remember right). Even with the rotation, it's not easy to figure out, but it isn't insurmountable and is fun to play with. Eric made 26 copies of this out of maple, bocote, wenge, purpleheart and paduak.

Open Sesame trick box- Bits and Pieces 07-6483
This is, for B&P, an amazingly well made trick opening box, well above their usual standards of workmanship. This is a copy of an Allan Boardman box from IPP24, very close to the same dimensions but without the extreme detail Allan always provides. Not surprisingly, they spelled his name wrong (Alan) on the instruction sheet for the puzzle.

One Piece Puzzle - 2009 IPP Exchange
One Piece Puzzle - a bit of a misnomer, as it is no more a 1 piece puzzle than is a Rubik's Cube. A number of bent "L" shaped metal pieces articulated by links of plastic. You are supposed to either flex them all out flat or make a cube out of it. And yes, there is a bit of a trick to it (I never did get the "cube" part of it). Exchange from Harry L. Nelson , concept by Engel. Not sure who made it, though.

Self Referential Panels IPP29 Exchange
Self-Referential Panels by Harshbarger and Huang. "Arrange the 9 tiles in a 3x3 layout such that each tile describes the 9 colors in its position on the other tiles." The instructions are a bit more involved, with examples, but that's the basic idea; each tile has color-information that relates to its position relative to the other 9 tiles in the grid. This is one of the stranger puzzles I ran into at IPP. Nicely made from solid plastics, with a plastic layout sheet.

Puzzle for Daughter - designer MINE - IPP29 Exchange
This is a very nice little "fit the pieces in the tray" puzzle, called "Puzzle for Daughter" designed by MINE for the IPP29 puzzle exchange. There are 3 challenges; fit all 5 pieces in the tray (includes the two circles), or fit the three characters in the tray so there is only space for one disk, or fit the characters in the oval tray so there is no room for any disks.
