Octagon Box by Akio Kamei (also names "Pile of Disks"), Bits and Pieces #08-G7330. This one required a repair before I could solve it: there's a small plate inside that was manufactured with very soft wood, and a metal pin fell against it and wore a channel in it (before I owned it, of course!). It comes with a solution sheet, and the funny thing about that is that the solution gives instructions to open one compartment, but never even mentions the second compartment. The Carbo Cube is a very interesting miniature...four stick and two board pieces form a cube with a translucent center. Moderate in difficulty, this puzzle has a unique level 6.2 solution. The checkerboard pattern shows well and begs to be played with.

The second in the Havanas Box series is named the "Heather", after the one of the friendly part-timers behind the bar. It's a step up in difficulty from the first box...easy enough to get started but then a few moves in you hit a wall. The solution is fairly unique and I think it will be a lot of fun to discover. Robrecht Louage's Ladybird is a route-finding, sequential movement coin release puzzle: rotate the two panels while pushing and pulling on the two antennae to reach the end and release the coin.

With a unique level 12.6.8 solution, it's no slouch dispite the low number of pieces. The "wrapping" created by the box makes it pretty interesting to look at after you solve it too!Unfortunately this is in the solved (taken apart) condition. I don't have the time to put it back together so it will be supplied in this state.
