The yosegi of the previous versions were made by Mr Ninomiya, this time it is made by Kawashima himself. He also changed the way he made the eight corner parts, using spline joints. The trick is the same as for the previous versions : get to the heart of the books and find the stamp. Walnut, Zelkova, Chanchin, Dogwood, ancient Katura, Maple, Magnolia, Cherry.

Made for the 2019 Karakuri exhibition, whose theme was "Harmony". The undulating curves of wood carved into the top move back and forth with satisfying clicks. The drawer will open once a particularly harmonious pattern has been discovered. Walnut, Sonokeling and Maple.

Boxy by László Molnár is a unique packing puzzle concept. You must pack the five simple pieces into a clever box with a rotating and connected top/bottom panel. Joined by a dowel, the top and bottom move together and therefore limit access to the interior. As the box fills with pieces, the movement of the lid is increasingly restricted. Dodecahedron puzzle box based on the same mechanisms as Pod (KW-30), with over 20 moves to open. Giving less hints, Pyramid is  more difficult to solve, though. The tolerances of this batch have been increased compared to the previous one of 2017, to accomodate humidity change better. Cherry, Magnolia, Purpleheart, Zelkoba.

Physically a fairly large and heavy puzzle which also makes for a decent display piece. The Elephant consist of 11 interlocking pieces. There is some order to disassembling the pieces and the reverse is required to put everything back together again. Cherry.
