"Jack In the Box" is an eerily shocking VANISHING VOLUME packing puzzle, designed by puzzle designer (Wave Links, Double Tour, etc.) and perennial International Puzzle Party attendee Rod Bogart. Amazingly, the eight solid aluminum blocks fill the acrylic container (first illustration), yet they can be rearranged in the container such that the black six-pronged stand may also fit (second illustration)! A video describing this puzzle, as presented by Rod at the 15th Gathering for (Martin) Gardner in 2024, may be viewed here.
"Jack In the Box" comes in its original box with all original packaging material. The starting bid of $54 is less than half of its $125 retail price (available new through Art of Play, Craighill, and Puzzle Master).
"Jack In the Box" is quite heavy, weighing 1 lb 12 oz (800 g). I will ship within the United States via insured priority mail for between $12.65 and $18.95 depending on postal code. I am happy
to ship
internationally at cost — likely around $30 for something of this weight — but I cannot always guarantee that overseas
packages can be insured or tracked. Please do not sent payment until postage cost is determined.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding "Jack In the Box." Thank you for viewing my auction!
