Simplexity is a uniquely designed and uniquely manufactured disentanglement puzzle by the late great Markus Götz of Germany, and was Markus' exchange puzzle at the 35th International Puzzle Party (IPP35) held in Ottawa, Canada in 2015. The puzzle is made from an actual tree branch, so each puzzle was slightly different from the others! Simplexity is also unique in that the goal is not to remove the rope, but rather to reposition the rope from one branch to the other. The solution, as presented by Markus, requires 12 steps! The puzzle is as it was presented at IPP35 in 2015, complete in its
original and unusual plastic bag with its original instruction
sheet. I will provide a copy of the solution to Simplexity from the
IPP35 souvenir booklet. I will ship within the US as a ground advantage (new terminology
replacing "first class") package for between $6.15 and $6.65 depending on postal code, or if preferred, at
insured priority mail pricing
(likely from between
$9.35 and $12.55, depending on postal code). I am happy
to ship
internationally at cost --- likely around $17.10 or $26.95 depending on final weight of the package--- but I cannot always guarantee that overseas
packages can be insured or tracked. |
