Rick Irby's fame stems from his incredibly high quality heavy-duty metal disentanglement puzzles. "Twin Coils" was created in 1999 for perennial IPP Puzzle Exchange participant Stan Isaacs, and used by Stan as his exchange puzzle at IPP19 in London in 1999. Twin coils is heavy, sturdy, and highly polished, and the disentanglement moves are rather tricky, with the re-entanglement moves being even trickier. According to the solution, "You will find it next to impossible to get them back together!" "Twin Coils" is made of highly polished stainless steel. The puzzle is as received at IPP19 in 1999, complete with its original instruction and solution sheet.
I will ship within the US as a ground advantage (new terminology
replacing "first class") package for around $6.65, or if preferred, at
insured priority mail pricing
(likely from between
$10.20 and $12.55, depending on postal code). I am happy
to ship
internationally at cost --- typically around $17.10 for a small sturdy item like
this --- but I cannot always guarantee that overseas
packages can be insured or tracked.
