Description

TriLox is the third generation of "Lox" puzzles started by the great Finnish puzzle designer Vesa Timonen, in which the object is always to pack the truncated cylinders "flat" in the box provided. First there was "Lox In Box," used by Tomaz Lindén as his exchange puzzle at IPP21 in Tokyo in 2001. Then came "Lox In Box II" a few years later, also designed by Vesa. Eric took the concept to a new level, with a solution much more elusive than those of the predecessors, and in my opinion, more interesting. TriLox was one of Eric's forays into mixed metal/wood puzzles, with a wooden box (walnut) and the pieces made of polished brass and aluminum. My copy is packed in it's original box, with all instructions, cautions, and polishing cloth.

Note that TriLox is still available on the CubicDissection web site for $69. I am offering the opportunity to own this tricky puzzle at a nice discount.
