"Foxes and Wolves" is a mathematically precise puzzle (in terms of minimal square areas in which the pieces will fit) designed by mathematician and perennial IPP attendee and exchange puzzle participant Dick Hess, used by Dick as his exchange puzzle at IPP23 in Chicago in 2003. The puzzle was precisely and beautifully laser cut by prolific exchange puzzle manufacturer Walt Hoppe. The main goal of the puzzle is to fit the four smiling fox pieces in one square, and fit the four smiling wolf pieces into the other square.
The puzzle is complete with its original instruction sheet and original solution sheet as presented at IPP23 in 2003.
