Twelve Bow Ties 2 was both designed and crafted by the master himself,
Wayne Daniels, whose work is getting mighty hard to find these days. It
was an IPP35 Exchange Gift from Marti Reis and is being sold as
received - without having ever been disassembled except what little was
done for one of the photos. There are 8 pieces, each with notches and
dovetail-like protrusions that fit into the notches. This is an
assembly puzzle, so taking it apart is easy. You won't need to do much
to be confused about how it goes together afterwards - I found it
confusing to reassemble just the two pieces that I removed for the
photo. The puzzle is relatively small, which makes the smooth, easy
sliding of its pieces all the more impressive.
8.5 cm corner to opposite corner, 4.2 cm from face to opposite face (as shown in photos)
Grade
(C) Cosmetic: Noticeable flaw immediately apparent upon handling.
Cosmetic Issues
Precisely cut notches and dovetail-like maple pieces, but the cuts between adjacent faces are slight rough, as visible from the photos, and are original to the puzzle.
Function
(2) Excellent: Very slightly loose or tight, no force needed, no alignment issues.
