Derek's Split Maze Burr has been eagerly awaited as the more difficult and imposing version of the original Maze Burr released years ago by Kegan. Upping the ante with double maze plates on each face, this puzzle is more of a puzzle system. There are many challenges, with "simple" solutions requiring 30+ moves up to the most difficult configuration requiring over 300 moves to solve! The puzzle comes with tools to rearrange the plates and a downloadable booklet illustrating the problems (a link to download the PDF manual is included in the order confirmation email.) Hours and hours of fun make this an excellent value for your puzzling dollar; this is sure to be a classic!
Construction of this puzzle is outstanding! Precision milled hardwood makes the cage exceptionally strong, complimented by beautiful Birdseye maple panels. The precision cut acrylic finishes off the look and feel of quality. No expense or effort was spared, down to brass threaded inserts for the polished stainless retaining screws.
