EGGcentric was listed in the IPP26 exchange booklet as a "sequential movement puzzle, sliding and shunting with mechanical or rotating parts." Sounds complex! It was a joint effort by the great Dutch puzzle inventor Oskar van Deventer and Peter Knoppers, owner of Bottonius Puzzles. EGGcentric is made of acrylic and consists of three egg-shape pieces and two circular pieces joined together in a geared rotating mechanism. The object of the puzzle is to mix-up the orientation of the three egg parts, and then realign the three egg shapes AND the three holes. Very challenging!
The puzzle is as it was received at IPP26 in 2006 in Boston, in its original plastic bag, complete with instructions. I will provide a copy of the solution to EGGcentric from the IPP26 exchange booklet.
