This puzzle was designed by Oskar van Deventer of The Netherlands. It is quintessential Oskar in that it is done in primary colors and is a maze. It comes close to being a perfect puzzle. Oskar had named it 'Sunflower' since it kind of looks like a sunflower. George Miller's addition was to add the sunflower seeds to make it even more sunflower-y in appearance. There are exactly 1000 white seeds if you care to count. This puzzle has the interesting aspect of having the sunflower lock with the sunflower pot while rotating around the pot.
Tyler Barrett presented this puzzle in the International Puzzle Party in Antwerpen in 2002.
