El’s and Arrows was the exchange puzzle of Ad van der Schagt at IPP25 in Finland, 2005.
The tray has 2 sides , providing several diferent packing challenges, also described on the instruction sheet (see picture 2).
1: Insert all the 8 pieces at the front side (square)
2: Insert all the 8 pieces at the back side
3: Find solutions to fill the front side (square) with less than 8 pieces in such a way that no more pieces can be added.
4: Find solutions to fill the back side with less than 8 pieces in such a way that no more pieces can be added.
Some solutions to challenges 3 and 4 are so called anti-slide solutions.
This puzzle has never been unpacked, it comes in its original shrink wrap foil, the 4 arrows will be behind the instruction sheet.
