Colour Zone Maze was Greg Dye's exchange puzzle at IPP25 in Finland, 2005.
This sequential movement puzzle provides many challenges.
Prepare the puzzle by arranging the colored pieces in the tray as one of the 10 challenge boards. Challlenge board 1 is shown in the picture (imagine the 3 separate voxels are in the tray)
Start by placing the extra 1x2 black piece in an upright position on one of the corners.
Move the black piece to any other corner by rolling it up, down, left or right, but always stay within the grid and always end each move on only one colour.
Each challenge has 6 sub-challenges. Starting on any of the 4 corners (A to D), and ending on any other corner in an upright position. I.e. A-B, A-C, A-D, B-C, B-D and C-D.
(Only board 1 and 2 and 7 are rotation symmetric)
The puzzle comes in its original cardboard box with instruction sheet and solution sheet for challenges 1 to 5.
