A novel solution for the Japanese puzzle box! The name can also be called "explosion". Those who get the work for the first time will be surprised. A great twist to a very long-established Japanese tradition of creating puzzle box art.
The prototype of this work comes from Kamei's "Expansion I" created in 2012.
Made with beautifully contrasting woods (maple, keyaki(zelkova), walnut, black cherry, e.t.c.) in a quality that is hallmark for Karakuri! Their skilled work has been passed through generations from the Edo era. Today, the craftsmen continue making new works, and the world of the "Karakuri box" continues evolving.
