Paradox box by Eric Fuller

It is damaged, there is a fragment missing at one end of the Bloodwood piece, see the 3rd picture. This does not affect the function at all however.

"Paradox Box" seems easy at first. Movement here...movement there...what you need to do is immediately apparent, but seems impossible to achieve. Creative thinking will be needed to discover the surprising solution. This puzzle is shipped assembled.
