Custom limited edition puzzle in African Ebony by woodworking master Wayne Daniel in 2014. The piece finishing and wood selection are outstanding.
This is a packing puzzle, actually a set of 6 packing puzzles, originally created by Bill Gosper and further modified by Abel Garcia.
29 pieces of 4 different sizes in acrylic box.
Problems:
Assemble the cube with all 29 pieces so that:
1. The 3x2x1 [B] pieces are located anywhere in the cube.
2. The 3x2x1 [B] pieces do not touch each other, even at a corner.
3. The 3x2x1 [B] pieces do not touch each other or any of the 3x3x1 [A] pieces, even at a corner.
4. Two of the 3x3x1 [A] pieces are in parallel planes.
Extra:
A. Pack the 14 4x4x1 pieces in the box, leaving out the other 15 pieces.
B. Temporarily assemble four additional 4x4x1 pieces from eight 4x2x1 pieces, and pack the 18 4x4x1 pieces in the box, leaving out the remaining seven pieces.
