Magno Maze is a rolling block maze, which involves rolling two blocks around each other. One block is 2x2x1, the other 2x1x1. The blocks have protrusions and holes in the shape of the digits '1' to '4'. The object is to start at '1-in-1', roll to '2-in-2', etcetera. The protrusions act as walls: it is not allowed to roll over any of the protruding digits.
Oskar comments: "I made the original prototype using velcro to keep the blocks together. When visiting George Miller, he showed me a set of tiny but very powerful cylindrical magnets, and asked me whether I knew a puzzle to make from these. So I proposed this design. George replied 'Thanks for the design using all of my magnets', as 52 magnets were needed per puzzle."
