Description

16 wood blocks make the usual magic square, the primary object of which is to arrange the numbers so all rows columns and diagonals total 34. However, there is a secondary objective which is to find a solution in each of the 12 "classes" of solutions; a class is determined by the different ways the solution can be arrived at in terms of the location of the groups of two numbers whose total = 17 (two of these classes have only 8 solutions each). Ca. 1970.

Solid wood numbers 1.25 inches square and half an inch thick.
