This object was made by Shapeways using 3D printing, I then dyed it blue using RIT fabric dyes (unfortunately, I cannot dye each tetrahedron a different color). This particular version has an icosahedron trapped inside, and is six separate objects which can be moved around, but it cannot be taken apart. You can buy one at Shapeways for $36 and dye it yourself. The opening bid on this item is $32 which is below my cost. Shipping will be added to this, and should not be too high since it is quite light weight. It makes an interesting desktop curiosity, and a good demonstration of what is possible using 3D printing.
