This puzzle is a exchange puzzle by Markus Götz for the International Puzzle Party 28 held in Prague, Czech Republic 2008
Goal:
This puzzle consists of 15 pieces (7 copies of piece A, 8 copies of piece B).
Arrange the A-pieces flat on the table such that you can completely cover the shape with the B-pieces.
Background:
This puzzle is a further development of the puzzles that have been in the exchanges in the last few years. Puzzle designers already have made use of square and hexagonal grids for finding nice sets of pieces for the “cover up” theme.
With this puzzle now also the triangular grid is used. Because of the difficulty of the puzzle and the fact of using the triangular grid, the name of this puzzle became “tri(2) cover me” = try to cover me (and “tri” referres to “triangular”).
For designing this puzzle I used the fantastic puzzle solving program “BurrTools” from Andreas Röver to find this set of pieces that only have one solution.
