this is not a puzzle, it's just a supercool mechanical box. Robert listed it on eBay as: 'Stickman Limited Edition Mechanical Box', which i bought on 24 february 2003 for $38.
signed (or perhaps 'figured') on the underlid, but only numbered on the paper that came with it.
