Prolific Finnish puzzle designer Vesa
Tomonen is known for his seemingly simple yet fiendishly difficult
puzzles. "SPIR ALA RIPS" is one such design used by sloyd.fi owner Tomas
Lindén as his exchange puzzle at IPP37 held in Paris in 2017. ONLY TWO WOODEN PIECES which must be laid flat, in order to form a figure that can be bisected into two identical shapes. Some SERIOUS out-of-the-box thinking
and visualization are required to solve this puzzle. "The Puzzle Guy" says that it has one of the "craziest" solutions he has ever seen!
SPIR ALA RIPS comes in its original labeled plastic bag as presented at IPP37. I will include a copy of the
solution from the IPP37 book for the successful bidder.
I will ship within the US as a ground advantage (new terminology
replacing "first class") package for between $8.00 and $9.00 depending on postal code, or if preferred, at
insured priority mail pricing
(likely from between
$11.00 and $13.00, depending on postal code). I am happy to
ship
internationally at cost, which I estimate to be around $22, but I cannot always guarantee that overseas
packages can be insured or tracked. Please do not send payment until the postage cost
is determined. Note, sadly, that tariff wars may be in effect for packages received in certain countries.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding SPIR ALA RIPS.
