Construction of this puzzle was painstaking. The frame and internal shuttle share a hybrid miter / shouldered joint I invented especially for this project. The joint is more work to make, but creates strong and stable joinery while concealing the slots for the wall inserts. Also, the internal shuttle has a weak arm which is not well supported, but the hybrid joint guarantees longevity. A lot of work into this piece, and I feel it turned out quite well indeed!
