Basically, It is a limited edition mechanical puzzle machined from solid aluminum and the objective is to figure out how to take it apart. It's about 4 1/4" long, 1 3/8" wide, and 1 3/8" thick; it weighs about 12 ounces. It's mainly made of nickel-plated aluminum and has a turquoise ball (see the pictures) that comes out when you solve the puzzle. I won't describe the internal components because I don't want to give away the solution.

The internal pieces are small and could be a choking hazard for young children. I can't imagine a child opening the puzzle - it's pretty hard - but better safe than sorry so please keep the puzzle away from children under 5.

I hand assemble the puzzles, mark the serial number and my initials inside, and infill the logo on the top piece with blue ink. The puzzle is machined from T6061 aluminum with a tolerance of /- .002" to get the correct fit and mating between pieces. The machined aluminum is then nickel-plated to give a hardened surface.

I have collected puzzles for decades and recently began designing my own. I've always enjoyed precision-made gadgets and have done my best to come up with a design that is both challenging and satisfying.

The total production run for this puzzle is 100.
