“Puzzle Pillow”

Objective / Description:
My goal was to make an exchange gift which is soft but hard. The resulting puzzle consists of four identical wood blocks and a cloth bag with internal obstacles. The goal is to arrange the wood pieces in the bag in a symmetric arrangement.
Inside the bag is a strip of cloth which constrains the movements of the blocks. Three corners of the bag have small pockets. The blocks can be partially pushed into these pockets to get more space in the middle when new blocks are inserted. The entrance of the bag is measured carefully so that inserting a block into the bag becomes the first easy puzzle.
Because of the flexibility of the cloth, there are variations of this solution sequence. The one shown here is likely to be the clearest one.
