Lighthouse by Doug Haigh (Bits and Pieces)

Doug Haigh’s recreation from Hoffmann’s classic book.  Object is to free the brass ring (or the lens/gem).

I’m selling a few of these older, discontinued metal Bits and Pieces take apart or sequential discovery puzzles.  Lighthouse is my favorite of these… it’s a nice “starter” SD puzzle, on par with the brass cannon.  It’s also a nice metal puzzle for display, and it was fun to experience this “classic” puzzle.

I was able to solve this one on my own!  It took me about as long to solve as the brass cannon.  The Lighthouse is in good condition, with the “lens” intact and clear (no scratches) “window.”  Most of the puzzle’s body is in great condition, although the base has some small dings and light wear (see photos).  It is no longer in production.

Buyer is responsible for shipping which should be $6-8 (within USA, first-class).  Priority mail (and heavier puzzles) might be $2 to $5 more.  I charge only exact shipping costs.  Please contact me if you need an estimate for international shipping.  If you wish to estimate shipping costs yourself, most of my listed puzzles shouldn't weigh more than 16 ounces (450 grams), and the smaller puzzles should be much less than that.  I will combine multiple items for cheaper shipping--I have listed a few sequential discovery (SD) puzzles, puzzle boxes, and various metal/wood puzzles from Bits & Pieces this time.  I've also listed a couple of packing puzzles from Frederic Boucher.

I can accept payments via Paypal, Zelle, or Transferwise.  There will be no additional packaging or handling fees.

I try to grade condition conservatively.  If the puzzle shows any sign of wear from use, it'll be a B or lower. If the puzzle looks like it did when I received it new (barring any defects), it will be graded A.  Where useful, I've tried to take photos of the puzzles under different lighting conditions.  All puzzles are kept in a smoke-free home maintained at 45-55% humidity.
