Description
Dan Alterman loves making giant wooden puzzle boxes that resemble real world objects: from the vending machine of Snack Brake to the toaster of Toasted, he has now created an ATM machine puzzle box appropriately titled "Life Savings." He released a very small run of this unique puzzle, making it quite rare.
Combining excellent sequential discovery mechanical puzzling with a bit of cryptography, you must unlock the secrets of the puzzle to find the clues you need to decipher the code and open the vault (within which a secret prize lay waiting!). I found this to be more challenging (and longer) than Snack Brake, and at least as much fun.
The lock is battery-powered and I will go ahead and put in some fresh batteries prior to shipping (it uses very little power, of course, but just to be safe); also, the side panel with the dollar sign can be unscrewed to allow access in the future, if necessary (good thinking on Dan's part).
I need to reluctantly sell some pieces from my collection to replenish puzzle funds; all puzzles are kept in a pet-free room at 68 - 73 F, and 45% - 50% humidity.
