Description
This is a one of a kind puzzle box from Kel Snake, a retrofit of a beautiful old jewelry box and made up of parts from various puzzles over the past 10 years. It is a challenging puzzle and has been a jewel of my collection, but is time to move on to someone else. I am listing this currently at well below the purchase price of $2000.
Please note that the puzzle is currently with Kel, and will ship from him. Shipping cost to be calculated after auction. Kel kindly made sure that the puzzle is reset properly and working perfectly before the auction.
Below is Kel’s description of the puzzle:
The most I can say is that I strive to create puzzles that are different from what I see, and enjoy building to a theme these days. Often times designers hide their mechanisms, wanting them to stay secret. For me, I love opening one of my puzzle boxes and being overwhelmed by all of the mechanical mechanisms going on inside and the enjoyment of replaying it all while watching the amazing process. Themes are great, especially when other designers jump in too. The fairy door puzzle was like that, with three of us designers building our version of the themed vision. Taking and reworking the extra parts of 15 past puzzles was no small task. There is both a tool and the key inside, and they are both quite satisfying to finally find. There are some tricky details I should not include here, but it’s safe to say you will be many hours solving this one. This copy is Snakenstein #1, so there will be more to this series in the coming years.Specifications
