The Jukebox, by MoonTree Puzzles
A truly beautiful work of puzzling art.
Winner of the Jury Grand Prize at the 2024 Nob Yoshigahara Puzzle Design Competition.
Milled from solid aluminum, this large showpiece of a sequential discovery puzzle is more solidly built than any other I've come across. If you were to drop it, I'd be more worried about the table or the floor it lands on than the puzzle itself, haha!
It has a decent challenge, but it's not hard, by any means: I would say it's an intermediate level of difficulty. It was a wonderful solving experience that lasted small handful of sessions, for me. It uses a good mixture of different puzzle-elements.
It is also the puzzle that has been the most impressive on display and has garnered the most comments from guests.
This is copy #61 of only 200. It's no longer available from the original creator-team.
If you win this item, you will receive all original packaging and documentation.
From the original description:
"Jukebox is a complex, CNC-machined sequential discovery puzzle including 15 steps (counting conservatively). Many steps require a series of movements and manipulations to challenge various sensory skills, dexterity and visual memory. Along the way, several tools can be found to help reveal 5 hidden compartments protected by intricate locking mechanisms."
