This puzzle was the second one I ever made for myself when I started off doing this. I was impressed with the simplicity of design and the brilliance of the concept back then...and after solving thousands of puzzles, I'm STILL impressed. It's just plain a lot of fun! An inexperienced puzzler will stumble upon the solution eventually, but the sharp eye will find a clue in design that leads to the solution much quicker.
Mr. Trevor Wood designed and manufactured this puzzle originally, and I thank him for his permission to reproduce it. It received the runner-up certificate in the 1992 Hikimi Wooden Puzzle competition and is in the collection of Prince Charles.
