“Hexahedroom”
This puzzle is a exchange puzzle by Hirokazu Iwasawa for the International Puzzle Party 25 held in Helsinki, Finland 2005
Objective / Description:
Hexahedroom consists of a hexahedral, actually cubic, box with six square holes and three kinds of eight hexahedral pieces.
Problem 1: Try to place all of the eight pieces into the box.
Problem 2: After you solve Problem 1, try to find an easy way to remove the pieces from the box again.
About the puzzle:
Hexahedroom is a new box packing puzzle (designed by Hirokazu Iwasawa ©2005). Problem 2 is not unimportant. Yes, there is an easy way to remove the pieces. But “easy” does not mean “instantaneous”. Anyway, please don’t scratch the pieces with your nails and please be careful not to drop the pieces to the ground.
