The Gordian knot puzzle box was designed by Robert Yarger. This is a resin remake of Roberts's original design. A very enjoyable puzzle to solve, challenging, and tactile with a great original trick to finally solve the box sure to put a smile on any puzzler's face. Producing this in resin meant a few minor changes needed to happen. It was very important for me to keep it true to the original design and I’m happy that the solve is as it was with the wooden version. However, I did manage to add another dimension to the solution, increasing both the difficulty and the number of steps by around 16 in a way that complements the original design and gives a little surprise to people who have maybe already solved it before.
The Puzzle is Vacuum cast polyurethane resin with cast Tin alloy accent pieces with detailed Greek patterns to reflect the myth its name is based on. Keeping to the original size of 7.6cm cubed. it weighs 0.5 KG.
