Floppy Cube was the exchange puzzle of perennial Puzzle Exchange participant George Miller at IPP21, held in Tokyo in 2001. I believe it is George's design, and also that George manufactured the puzzle.
Floppy Cube consists of three "Cartesian" parts, each made up of 3 "L-shaped" pieces ("L" trominoes). The L-shaped pieces are linked together by hinges (two examples of which are seen in the photo). The goal of the puzzle is to put these three "floppy" pieces together to form a 3x3x3 cube.
The puzzle is as received at IPP21 in 2001, in it's original box. It did not come with any instructions, although the orientation of the pieces in the final construction can be discerned through one of the illustrations on the box.
