"“Shortly before his passing, Eric Fuller had offered me a copy of HARUN made of metal and wood. I had initially declined because I don’t like this combination of materials. Eric prevailed, as always, and a little gem of exotic woods and brass was released. A final design by Eric based on an idea of mine. Shortly before that, I’d wanted to amuse him with FERMAT MEETS FULLER. Here, a cube of six triangles has to be packed into my typical box. And now EUKLID MEETS FULLER. The EUKLID series is already full of surprises and stories, so I’m removing the restriction to a trilogy and dedicating this new design to Eric Fuller. In order not to get lost in possibilities, I gave myself some guidelines a cube-shaped box and one of the pieces should be a cube; it should be very challenging, and the solution should contain new sentences. My homage to the founder of CUBIC DISSECTION will end up with only four pieces. A very nice result after the many considerations and once again a wonderfully pleasant cooperation with Pelikan. The design in dark woods is a nod to EUKLID FOR KIDS as a thank you for Eric’s playful, idiosyncratic, and handcrafted approach in and for his community, despite all the sadness his untimely death has brought. I wish you an unforgettable AHA moment and a great joy in life by playing with EUKLID MEETS FULLER.”
