Keith Winegar is an ingenious and extremely talented puzzle designer, who has been a regular participant in the Edward Hordern Puzzle Exchange for MANY years. "Dovetail Burr Box" was Keith's exchange puzzle at IPP23 held in Chicago in 2003. The puzzle consists of a box with a dovetailed sliding top, several burr-type pieces which form the stand, and a U.S. quarter. The goal of the puzzle is to be able to open to box to remove the coin, which is visible through the too small hole in the front of the box. The puzzle is made from contrasting padouk (the orange-colored wood) and maple (the white-colored wood for the feet), and a U.S. quarter.
"Dovetail Burr Box" is complete with its full information/instruction sheet (which also includes the solution) in its original plastic bag as presented at IPP23.
