Detective Box by Joe Guarini
It’s hard to categorize this puzzle box / sequential discovery / escape game by Joe Guarini. But it’s beautifully made, and is a multi-step puzzle with some very unique tools/steps. My partner and I play many “home escape games,” and the Detective Box was definitely amenable to a team solve. The use of electronic components allowed some steps that were unlike anything we’ve seen in other puzzles/games. I hate to see this go since it doesn’t seem readily available. There are no scratches or major cosmetic issues, and it is in the same condition as it was when I received it new (some glue and very small areas where the paint came off are pictured; none of these are on the front of the puzzle). I’ve listed it at slightly under its original price. Comes with its original bag and instructions.

Buyer is responsible for shipping which should be $6-8 (within USA, first-class). Priority mail (and heavier puzzles) might be $2 to $5 more. I charge only exact shipping costs. Please contact me if you need an estimate for international shipping. If you wish to estimate shipping costs yourself, most of my listed puzzles shouldn't weigh more than 16 ounces (450 grams), and the smaller puzzles should be much less than that. I will combine multiple items for cheaper shipping--I have listed a few sequential discovery (SD) puzzles, puzzle boxes, and various metal/wood puzzles from Bits & Pieces this time. I've also listed a couple of packing puzzles from Frederic Boucher.
I can accept payments via Paypal, Zelle, or Transferwise. There will be no additional packaging or handling fees.
I try to grade condition conservatively. If the puzzle shows any sign of wear from use, it'll be a B or lower. If the puzzle looks like it did when I received it new (barring any defects), it will be graded A. Where useful, I've tried to take photos of the puzzles under different lighting conditions. All puzzles are kept in a smoke-free home maintained at 45-55% humidity.
