Puzzle box enthusiasts, take note! The founding Karakuri craftsman, Akio Kamei, began producing fine wood puzzles in the 1970's in Japan. Kamei puzzles of this type rarely come up at auction, don't miss this and other Kamei listings this season!
Winner of the Grand Prize in the 2001 Puzzle Design Competition.
Requires 2 moves to open - but deceptively difficult. The objective is to locate the hanko inside. A very creative and interesting mechanism not often encountered. Finishing and movement are pristine. Includes original box and solution.
