Description

Caged Knot was the exchange puzzle of Bernhard Schweitzer at IPP25 in Finland, 2005.

The goal of this puzzle is to remove (and then replace) the three ash pieces from inside the Massaranduba “cage”.

It takes 13 moves to remove the first piece.

As indicated on the packaging, some pieces have a (bit of a) tight fit depending on humidity.
I verified the solve at 45% humidity, and found 2 or 3 moves of the solution to be very (not 'a bit') tight, but doable. (see picture 4)

The puzzle comes in its original cardboard box, with with information labels on outside (see picture 3)
