Brass Treasure Chest from Rocky Chiaro (Bits and Pieces)
Small puzzle box designed by Rocky Chiaro. This is a nice reproduction from Bits and Pieces, apparently the only puzzle box they’ve ever made in metal (https://seekingariadnesthreaddotcom.wordpress.com/2014/08/09/brass-treasure-chest-rocky-chiaros-puzzling-endeavour/).
I’m selling a few of these older, discontinued metal Bits and Pieces take apart or sequential discovery puzzles. Although most of these puzzles are not too difficult, I loved having them in my collection. They’re a nice size and weight, display beautifully, and it was awesome to try some of these “classic” puzzles that I had never experienced before.
This puzzle box takes a few steps and I was embarrassingly quite challenged by it. It has no major scratches or marks, and is in great, shiny condition. The puzzle has been solved a few times and there is light wear especially on the bottom of the feet (see photos). It is no longer in production.

Buyer is responsible for shipping which should be $6-8 (within USA, first-class). Priority mail (and heavier puzzles) might be $2 to $5 more. I charge only exact shipping costs. Please contact me if you need an estimate for international shipping. If you wish to estimate shipping costs yourself, most of my listed puzzles shouldn't weigh more than 16 ounces (450 grams), and the smaller puzzles should be much less than that. I will combine multiple items for cheaper shipping--I have listed a few sequential discovery (SD) puzzles, puzzle boxes, and various metal/wood puzzles from Bits & Pieces this time. I've also listed a couple of packing puzzles from Frederic Boucher.
I can accept payments via Paypal, Zelle, or Transferwise. There will be no additional packaging or handling fees.
I try to grade condition conservatively. If the puzzle shows any sign of wear from use, it'll be a B or lower. If the puzzle looks like it did when I received it new (barring any defects), it will be graded A. Where useful, I've tried to take photos of the puzzles under different lighting conditions. All puzzles are kept in a smoke-free home maintained at 45-55% humidity.
