Description
Bertha Shackman founded the famous B. Shackman novelty company in 1895. The company's puzzle business began to flourish in the late 1940's after the founder's grandson and company manager, Daniel Jacoby, began importing items from Japan. I am offering Shackman's "'WHAT IS YOUR SCORE' PUZZLES" from 1962 (or earlier --- pre zip code). The puzzles are familiar to most puzzle collectors (a version of Dad's Puzzler;" a version of the Tower of Hanoi;" a 5-piece star puzzle; a 4-piece square puzzle; and a 6-piece cross puzzle). However, this puzzle set is in NEAR MINT condition --- THE SOLUTIONS ARE INTACT AND WERE NEVER UNSTAPLED --- rendering it a "museum quality" example of the kitschy sort of toys and puzzles available during the baby-boomer years. Everything is complete!
Note: This is a DIFFERENT museum quality Shackman set than the one I sold a year ago (February '22) in the marketplace.
