Bertha Shackman founded the famous B. Shackman novelty company in 1895. The company's puzzle business began to flourish in the late 1940's after the founder's grandson and company manager, Daniel Jacoby, began importing items from Japan. I am offering Shackman's "6 Pc. DELUXE PUZZLE SET" from 1962. The puzzles are familiar to most puzzle collectors (a version of Instant Insanity called the "Tantalizer;" a version of the four-piece square called "What's Your Score;" a copy of the eight-piece edge-matching "Mosaic Puzzle;" a version of the Tak-It-A-Part puzzles called "Remove the Coin;" a dexterity puzzle; and a tiny jigsaw puzzle). However, this puzzle set is in EXCELLENT condition, rendering it a "museum quality" example of the kitschy sort of toys and puzzles available during the baby-boomer years. Of course, all of the puzzles are complete with instructions/solutions.
I will ship within the US at insured priority mail pricing (from between
$8.70 and $11.60, depending on postal code), or as a first class package for around $6.00, if preferred. I am happy to ship
internationally at cost, but I cannot always guarantee that overseas
packages can be insured or tracked.
Thank you for viewing my auction!
