Neat Lock was my exchange puzzle at IPP in 2003. It uses a clever trick from a 19thC lock in my collection. This 25 piece puzzle utilizes 4 pin mazes on the key piece along with four moving pin pieces to create a 4 bit binary numerical sequence (not gray code). Other Binary puzzles use Gray Code where only one piece moves at a time for each step, with Binary sometimes multiple pieces need to move for a step. 45 moves to remove the key piece.
