The only information I have on this puzzle is found on Rob's Puzzle Page http://home.comcast.net/~stegmann/disassembly.htm : "This is Hexaspiration, presented by Edward Hordern at IPP13. Remove the rod from the hexagonal cylinder." The brass puzzle is old and tarnished, but smooth, and needs a good polishing.
