This is a sequential  discovery puzzle box called "Where's My Hammer."  It's made from genuine mahogany, black walnut, wenge, sapele, bocote, zebrawood, cherry, maple, morado, and iroko. It has a beautiful mosaic tile top and sides. This creative design showcases each wood species in an eye catching and unique fashion.  This puzzle box measures 6.25" long x 4.25" wide x 3" high.

This is a puzzle made by me, believe me, it’s new, even if it doesn’t look it! The goal of the puzzle is to open the padlock (which is hidden inside the box) but first you need to open the box using the “tools” found along the way. Once you free the lock, you’ll notice it won’t open by just turning the key (wink wink). I’m still getting to grips with 3D printing so the print quality isn’t that of other puzzle makers, but it’s not bad. The yosegi of the previous versions were made by Mr Ninomiya, this time it is made by Kawashima himself. He also changed the way he made the eight corner parts, using spline joints. Made for the 2019 Karakuri exhibition, whose theme was "Harmony". The undulating curves of wood carved into the top move back and forth with satisfying clicks. The drawer will open once a particularly harmonious pattern has been discovered. Walnut, Sonokeling and Maple. 

Xmas gift 2020. Drawer is locked, two plates move on top. Open the drawer ENTIRELY by manipulating the plates the correct way. If you see the back space of the drawer, you’ve done well. Two traps. Zelkova, Camphor tree.

I bought this puzzle second hand but it is in pristine condition. "Confetti Box was designed to cap off 2019, a great year which saw us make more puzzle boxes than we ever have before. It's festive, it's surprising, it's abrupt! This box went through several prototypes and redesigns, and I'm quite happy with the final result.
