Kevin Holmes was the force behind Trench Puzzles.  He created many polycube puzzles (among other puzzles), which he sold regularly in a London market.  Eclecticube was Kevin's exchange puzzle at IPP22 held in Antwerp in 2002.  The puzzle consists of 9 pieces which must be put together to form a 4x4x4 cube.  The solution is unique, and rated as difficult.  Each of the 9 Eclecticube pieces was chosen from a different polycube puzzle of Kevin's design, hence the "eclectic" nature of the puzzle...
