Tucker's Teaser, designed by Richard Tucker, "analysis by Rik van Grol" as it says on the solution sheet. Apparently 3 solutions. Not sure who manufactured it, though there is a "made in Britain" sticker on the packing. Quality is well below Pentangle quality. This one was listed in "A Compendium of Cube-Assembly Puzzles using Polycube Shapes" by Kevin Holmes and Rik van Grol, Aug 2002, and designed around 1980 (according to the PuzzleWillBePlayed site).

This puzzle was given to me and I do not know much about it. The metal can has no english words but displays a website: www.mopin.com. The website is not active. This puzzle is Trevor Wood number TW09. Each of the 9 pieces are made up of two combined tiles. The object is to pack all the pieces into the box.The puzzle has a unique solution. The top of the cover is Padauk. I do not know what wood the sides of the box are. The tiles are a dark exotic wood possibly Macassar Ebony. The bottom of the box is stamped TW.

A very nice packing puzzle designed by Tom Jolly and made by Eric Fuller from some rather nice woods.

Nice design by Messrs. van Kreveld and Geerinck, produced by Bernhard Langer at puzzlewood.de in six different woods. Easy to take apart but reassembly can be frustrating. Finish isn't great but I counted 144 mitred joints on the diagonal and the fit is still good.

You are looking at a copy of the excellent Melting Block wooden puzzle originally designed by Thomas H. O'Beirne. Fit the 9 exotic pieces of Ash, Walnut, Mahogany, Purpleheart, Wenge, Yelloheart, Beech, Elm, Cherry into a wooden Mahogany box, so that the wood is flush at the top; creating a regular rectangular solid with no internal voids. As soon as Eric saw this design he knew I had to make it. The eight pieces pack into the oddly shaped frame only one way and in one very specific order. A fair amount of jockying around is necessary to fit them all. With a unique level 2.3.9.7.5 solution, it's doable but not trivial. A pretty interesting put together puzzle with many tangram like problems. Very difficult because you have to solve for the shapes and also maintain the integrity of the dots.
