Three Cubes is an award-winning design, having placed in the 2018 IPP Design Competition. The three identical pieces must be assembled to form three solid cubes. This apparently simple task is complicated by the addition of magnets on each face, whose polarity significantly impacts the process. Very fun, and pocket-sized as well! Boron is a moderately difficult puzzle that displays like a piece of sculpture once it's solved. The 12 pieces are made with contrasting hardwoods and precision-crafted in our North Carolina workshop. Its interlocking nature means that several pieces have to shift around to release the first piece. This puzzle is a lot of fun and a great addition to anyone's collection, beginner or advanced. The interesting shape of this burr is what attracted me to it initially. The unique level 12 solution was also a contributing factor. Once I figured out the color scheme and put it in production I was very pleased with the result. A definite departure from your normal six piece burr, the construction sequence is tricky and non-intuitive. The finished shape is pleasingly symmetrical and displays well. Impossible Triangle of Six Cubes is a little more impossible than the Three Cubes version, but still quite doable even for the beginner. One more piece, for a total of four, must be serially assembled to create the six cube configuration. The puzzle is quite stable once assembled, and displays very nicely. It's no secret that I love cube puzzles, and Andrey's "Repair the Cube" is an excellent one! Two internal pieces dance around the constraints of a truncated cage...the name asks you to position those pieces in such a way that they are contained within the cube and also repair the missing corner bits. I don't normally make super high level burrs, but I found Frankenstein to be irresistible. This 18 piece burr has VERY unique pieces. Six of them are missing an end grain voxel, allowing for a unique 35 unit arrangement on each face. Incredibly tricky and difficult, simply disassembling this is a feat considering the level 25.15.7.19.3.6.5.2.1.3.2.4 unique solution. Yes, you read that correctly. May the force be with you.
